So, a fanatical Muslim who happens to be a Major in the US Army went on the rampage at a military base yesterday killing 13 people and injuring 30 more. He had apparantly come to the attention of the authroities over six months ago because he was making statements in support of suicide bombers and yet no formal investigation had begun. Which begs the question - why was he not immediately suspended subject to an investigation? There seems to be overwhelming evidence that this man was unstable...

That shower that "run" the country appointed a 31-strong Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. The ACMD published their report last week and the bottom line of what it said was that alcohol and tobacco were more harmful than cannabis and ecstasy. They also criticised the Government's policy on drugs. And the government's reaction - they sacked its leader. Today 2 more members resigned in protest and others may follow.
